Kim Jonghyun Has Passed Away

This is a horrible way to come back to this site.  I’ve been busy for months and haven’t had time to update, and now that I finally do have time this is what I come back to.

Many of you may know Kim Jonghyun from the group SHINee.  Today it was announced that he had passed away.  I’ve read reports that both his sister and SM Entertainment have confirmed this.

I’m not entirely sure how he died, and I don’t want to disrespect him by reporting the wrong thing.  He was found unconscious in his home and was rushed to the hospital where he passed away.

My heart goes out to his family, friends, bandmates, and to everyone that cared about him.  He was an inspiration to so many people.

Hoya Leaves INFINITE

Hoya has decided to leave INFINITE and Woolim Entertainment.  Woolim Entertainment has released a statement saying that his contract ended June ninth of this year.

The other six members (Sung-kyu, Myung-soo AKA L, Woohyun, Sung-yeol, Sung-jong, and Dong-woo) have all resigned with the company and will continue being INFINITE.

It is sad that Hoya has decided to leave, but I wish him luck with his future endeavors as well as INFINITE.

Update to BTS Spotify and iTunes News

This morning I discovered that the missing albums from Spotify have been uploaded once again.  I was listening to one of my playlists and ‘N.O.’ came on.  ‘N.O.’ was one of the songs that would have been missing since it was off the album ‘O!RUL8,2?’ which was one of the missing albums.  I checked and sure enough, their albums have been re-uploaded.

iTunes has also added the albums that were missing.  I still do not know why this happened.  There could be several explanations, but let’s just be glad that this was a temporary issue.

BTS News

There are two things that I need to tell you about BTS.  One thing is good news and the other is bad.  So let us start with the bad news first.

According to a BTS ARMY Amino post this morning it seems that BTS has taken most of their albums off of Spotify and iTunes.  I checked to see if this was true or not and found that on both sites most of their albums are missing.  You can still find ‘You Never Walk Alone’, ‘Come Back Home’, and their Japanese singles on Spotify.  On iTunes you can find ‘You Never Walk Alone’, ‘Come Back Home’, ‘Dark & Wild, ‘The Most Beautiful Moment In Life’, ‘Wings’, and their Japanese singles.

Don’t panic just yet, this is probably only a temporary thing.  I’ve also heard that Spotify is looking into the issue and should be resolved soon.  I do not believe that this will be a long term issue, it could be a malfunction, it could be a way for BigHit to make us stream certain songs.  Whatever the reason I do not believe that this is a permanent issue.

Onto the good news.

BTS has announced their comeback date!

The comeback will be on September 18th with preorders starting on August 25th.  The album is going to be called LOVE YOURSELF 承 ‘Her’.

And if you haven’t done so already you can head over to YouTube and watch the ‘Love Yourself’ Highlight reels to prepare for the upcoming comeback.  More details are to be released later today.

Jackson Wang’s First Single

Jackson Wang is a member of the band Got7, but he is gearing up for a solo debut with his first single ‘Papillion’ which is set to release on the twenty-sixth of this month.

He took to Instagram to post this photo, counting down the days until his single release.

Girls’ Generation Comeback

Girl’s Generation is celebrating their tenth anniversary.  The eight girls, originally nine, debuted on August 5th, 2007.  Since then they have released catchy hit after catchy hit and even appeared on several talk shows here in America.  You can see clips of them on Live with Kelly and David Letterman performing their song The Boys.

The girls dropped two music videos today for two of their songs off their new album ‘Holiday Night’ which has a total of ten tracks.  The two songs they released videos for are ‘Holiday’ and ‘All Night’.  ‘All Night’ is a documentary video with the girls performing the song as well as clips of them talking.  You can head over to SM’s YouTube channel to view both videos: SM Entertainment YouTube Channel 

‘Holiday’ currently has over four million views and ‘All Night’ has over two million, both videos were released eleven hours ago.

Congratulations to Girls’ Generation for ten years, and here’s to many more.

Samuel Has Dropped First Mini Album

Samuel’s first MV ‘Sixteen’ is now on Youtube and he has dropped his first mini album by the same name.  The album is currently available on iTunes and has six tracks on it.

Samuel is a soloist under Brave Entertainment and many of you may recognize him as a fan favorite from season two of Produce 101.  He was not one of the top eleven boys that made it into the group Wanna One, but because of that he is now able to debut on his own.

Samuel is only sixteen, but he has a powerful voice and I see him going places.  There’s no doubting he is a talented young man with an amazing voice, and I can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us.

EXO’s Comeback Is Days Away

July 18th, 2017 at 6 PM EXO will release their fourth full-length album.

Unfortunately Lay was not able to participate in this comeback because he was stuck in China doing promotions for his projects there.  So we will not be seeing him in this video or hear his vocals on the album.

Their title track is upbeat and sounds like a song that you would listen to at a party during the summer time.  It sounds like the kind of song that will be stuck in your head for days and that you’ll find yourself humming without realizing what you’re doing.

K.A.R.D Is Officially Debuting

K.A.R.D is about to officially debut on the 19th of this month with their first mini album.

While scrolling through Facebook I saw that 1theK had posted the official teaser for their upcoming debut.

The group has released a few solo songs and videos since 2016 with their song ‘Oh Nana’.  This year the group released videos for their songs ‘Don’t Recall’ and ‘Rumor’.

Their debut song is called ‘Hola Hola’ and it has a very summery, upbeat vibe to it.  Something you can listen to when you go running, or are just jamming out in your car to your favorite tunes.

So keep an eye out for ‘Hola Hola’ and their first mini album.
